No. 524/Bill No. 94 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 11:16 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Bill No. 94, reports as follows: <br /> !I <br /> Bill No. 94, transmitted by via Communication No. 524 dated November 18, 2021, amends <br /> Ordinance No. 21-39, as amended,relating to public improvements and financing thereof for the <br /> Fiscal Year July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. <br /> This resolution adds the Environmental Management Pua Force Main Installation and Rehabilitation— <br /> State Revolving Funds project for$530,000 to the Capital Budget. Funds for this project shall be <br /> provided from State Revolving Funds, and would be used to install a second Sewage Force Main and <br /> rehabilitate the existing Force Main that connects the Pua Sewage Pump Station to the Hilo Wastewater <br /> Treatment Plant. <br /> Environmental Management Director Ramzi I. Mansour provided background on the bill. Mr. Mansour <br /> explained that as a result of the future Hilo International Airport runway extension, a redesign of the <br /> affected alignment section of sewer lines is needed. <br /> Committee Member Susan L.K. Lee Loy asked Director of Finance Deanna S. Sako what the interest <br /> rate would be for the funds.
