i <br /> I <br /> o}Mt•�}F.h1iy <br /> T : STATE OF HAWAII <br /> aii•::fi_ � wq:�p• <br /> 7TE Qf•14p�► <br /> SOLUTION NO. 299 22 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF THREE (3) LUCAS COMPRESSION SYSTEM <br /> DEVICES WITH ACCESSORIES TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJFIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT, <br /> WHEREAS, the Hilo Medical Center Foundation is donating three (3) LUCAS <br /> compression system devices with accessories to the County of Hawaii; and <br /> WHEREAS, the LUCAS compression system devices, valued at approximately <br /> $52,000, will be utilized by the County of Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Hilo Medical Center Foundation, c/o Lisa Rantz, 1190 Waianuenue <br /> Avenue, Hilo, HI 96720. <br />
