i <br /> I <br /> ®pJM�Y OF k,!y <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> irE oF•Nr..N <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 300 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF A PEACE POLE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAVI <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. <br /> WHEREAS,the East Hawaii Rotary Club's Peace Committee is donating a granite <br /> peace pole to the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, this peace pole,valued at approximately $10,000, will be placed at <br /> Mo`oheau Park in Hilo; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />
