WHEREAS, the project proposed by Ho`omalu Ka`u in its Maintenance Fund <br /> stewardship.grant application benefits the community-at-large and leverages partnerships to <br /> maintain healthy stewardship of properties acquired through the Public Access, Open Space, and <br /> Natural Resources Preservation Fund; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that, <br /> pursuant to Section 10-16(h)(1) of the Hawai`i County.Charter, the Council hereby approves a <br /> Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Maintenance Stewardship Grant <br /> be awarded to Ho`omalu Ka`u in the amount of$24,275. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that,pursuant to Section 10-16(g) of the Charter, funds <br /> from the grant awarded by this resolution shall be used for public safety maintenance and <br /> preservation of the Kahua `Olohu, Kaunamano, Ka`u property acquired through the Public <br /> Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Fund, identified as tax map key (3) 9- <br /> 5-012:005. <br /> BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this <br /> resolution to the Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Director of the <br /> Department of Finance. <br /> Dated at .
