The subject properties are located <br /> between the 75- and 76-mile markers on Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway and west (makai) of the <br /> highway to the King's Highway Foot Trail, `Anaeho`omalu and Waikoloa, South Kohala,Hawaii. <br /> The Commission voted to forward a favorable recommendation to the County Council as <br /> recommended by the Planning Director's recommendation with the following amendments: <br /> • Condition L(North Connector Road): The Commission voted to add this condition to <br /> provide a road connection to the property to the north to connect to the Mauna Lath Resort. <br /> At its November hearing, the Commission requested that the applicant explore the <br /> possibility of an internal road connection between the Waikoloa Beach Resort and Mauna <br /> Lath Resort. The Department of Public Works submitted additional comments to the <br /> Planning Department on November 30, 2021, in which they stated their support of a <br /> roadway connection between the two properties. The Planning Department also provided <br /> Hawai`i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer <br />
