7 <br /> a <br /> t <br /> I <br /> �KSvf0F <br /> \ :ts <br /> �•"�� d1�1/J/°a t <br /> U i�T OF HAWAVI +: `` STATE OF HAWAI'l <br /> tr�'QF•H'.f <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 317 22 <br /> i <br /> 4 <br /> s# <br /> i <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE <br /> DONATION OF A 2006 TOYOTA TACOMA FROM THE STATE OF <br /> HAWAVI DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO THE <br /> HAWAII COUNTY POLICE DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General is donating <br /> i <br /> a 2006 Toyota Tacoma 44 double cab pickup truck; and <br /> WHEREAS, this vehicle, with an estimated value of$10,500, will be utilized by <br /> the Hawaii County Police Department in daily operations; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides <br /> that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, <br /> securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts <br /> or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the <br /> capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution <br /> approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department recommends the acceptance <br /> of this donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter <br /> 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of <br /> Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
