OOJ�tY oa'y,� <br /> HAWAIICOUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF <br /> '�re'4F'µtd <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 341 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOMELESS TASK <br /> FORCE FOR ITS WELLER HOUSE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROJECT. <br /> WHEREAS, Homeless Task Force is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission <br /> is to provide outreach and engagement services to the homeless community and transitional <br /> housing; and <br /> WHEREAS, Homeless Task Force is establishing the "Weller House Transitional <br /> Housing"project located in Oceanview to provide short-term,transitional housing for <br /> unsheltered males, including military veterans in Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Homeless Task Force is collaborating with social service organizations, the <br /> Hawaii Police Department, medical personnel, the Root and Rise Therapeutic Horticulture <br /> Organization, businesses, churches, and other agencies on the Weller House Transitional <br /> Housing project; and <br /> WHEREAS, Homeless Task Force is requesting funds to purchase miscellaneous <br /> materials and supplies for its Weller House Transitional Housing Project; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Office of Housing and Community Development is <br /> to provide for the development of viable communities in Hawaii County by providing decent <br /> housing, suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific programs, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Office of Housing <br /> and Community Development to provide a grant to Homeless Task Force for its Weller House <br /> Transitional Housing Project in Oceanview. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
