V OF <br /> COUNTY I STATE <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 343 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF <br /> A DIGITAL MAILING MACHINE FOR THE OFFICE OF THE COUNTY CLERK, <br /> ELECTIONS DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease, or <br /> other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of <br /> more than one fiscal year shall be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a <br /> digital mailing machine for the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division, to be located at <br /> its satellite office at the West Hawaii Civic Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, the lease for the current digital mailing machine has expired and a <br /> replacement is necessary due to the high volume of mail sent out from this office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the County Clerk wishes to enter into a five-year lease <br /> agreement for a digital mailing machine for approximately $35.31 per month, which is slightly <br /> less than the previous lease; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five-year lease agreement for a digital mailing <br /> machine for the Office of the County Clerk, Elections Division. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years <br /> to cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the agreement. <br />
