No. 649113ill No. 130 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 9:00 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 130, reports as follows: <br /> Bill No. 130, transmitted by the Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 649 <br /> dated February 17, 2022, amends Ordinance No. 21-38, as amended, the Operating Budget for <br /> the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022. <br /> This bill increases revenues in the Office of Housing and Community Development's <br /> Community Development Block Grant(CDBG) Program Income account ($200,000); and <br /> appropriates the same to the Ulu Wini Low Income Housing Wastewater Treatment Plant— <br /> Repairs account, bringing the total appropriation to $350,000. <br /> Committee Member H61eka Goro Inaba asked Housing Administrator Kunz to provided an <br /> explanation of how the CDBG program interacts with the wastewater treatment plant project. <br /> Ms. Kunz stated that funds are being moved around to ensure project completion. Ms. Kunz then <br /> confirmed that these funds will be sufficient to complete the project. <br /> By Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder's request, Ms. Kunz confirmed that the project <br /> will be a full-treatment wastewater plant. Ms. Kunz then clarified that none of the water will be <br /> irigated and reclaimed for any County properties.
