ilMty".®F N,�. <br /> COUNTY OF <br /> i <br /> HAWAII ;# STATE OF HAWAPI <br /> r1rE.OF.NFeI <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 3155 22 ! <br /> 's <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE WALkKEA HIGH <br /> SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER STUDENT ASSOCIATION FOR THE 2022 WAIAKEA <br /> HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT GRAD NIGHT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Waidkea High School Parent Teacher Student Association(PTEA) is a <br /> subordinated unit of PTA Hawaii Congress, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Waidkea High School PISA assists Waidkea High School and its <br /> students with programs and activities, including the Waidkea High School Project Grad Night for <br /> graduating seniors; and <br /> WHEREAS, Project Grad Night activities are designed to provide a healthy and safe <br /> venue for graduates; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Waidkea High School PISA is requesting funds to defray the cost of <br /> rental fees, supplies, and equipment for the 2022 Project Grad Night for graduating seniors; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Liquor Control's goals is to support programs that <br /> promote the health, education, and well-being of the youth in our community with alcohol- and <br /> drug-free events such as graduation ceremonies; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Waidkea High School Parent Teacher Student <br /> Association for the 2022 Waidkea High School Project Grad Night for graduating seniors. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
