REQUEST: <br /> Sole source request for a contract agreement with Univesity of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH)was approved by the <br /> County's Purchasing Division on March 28, 2022. R&D is requesting a resolution authorizing the County (via <br /> R&D)to enter into an supplemnetal agreement for services with the University of Hawaii at Hilo (UHH), to <br /> provide additional funding of up to $100,00.00, for"Kuleana Health", to provide quality assurance services <br /> and program evaluation. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> In 2021, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) awarded the County$3,000,000.00 to <br /> implement a 2-year Health Literacy program called "Kuleana Health Project"that will advance COVID-19 and <br /> general health literacy efforts to reach minority and underserved populations on Hawaii Island. The County <br /> went into a contract agreement with the UHH in August 2021 which will end on June 30, 2022.
