®�Mzv,00 hq�t <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAIII *' _* STATE OF HAWAF1 <br /> �ra'oF•µrJ+ <br /> SOLUTION NO. 420 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS FROM THE <br /> STATE OF HAWAII,HAWAII EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY TO THE <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII, CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY FOR SANITIZATION SUPPLIES. <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Hawaii, Hawaii Emergency Management Agency <br /> ("HIEMA") is a governmental agency that provides resources to county emergency management <br /> agencies when the county does not have the resources required to effectively respond to an <br /> emergency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii, Civil Defense Agency ("County")had a gap in the <br /> capability to sanitize public interior spaces prior to and after operating hours; and <br /> WHEREAS, HIEMA has donated ten (10) VP300EA Electrostatic Sprayers and five (5) <br /> EM360 Emist Backpacks to the County for a total value of approximately Thirty-Nine Thousand <br /> Nine Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars and no cents ($39,925.00); and <br /> WHEREAS, these supplies are being used to sanitize public spaces used to provide <br /> County services to the public; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that <br /> the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estates, and Chapter 2, Article 30, <br /> Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, <br /> securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department <br /> of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii, Civil Defense Agency recommends the acceptance <br /> of this donation; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, <br /> Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii <br /> accepts this donation. <br />
