a <br /> I <br /> Y OF <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAPI «. :kSTATE OF HAWAIII <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION N . 431. 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION T NSF NGIAPPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO NORTH KOHALA <br /> COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER FOR EXPENSES RELATING TO PLUMBING <br /> INSTALLATION AND MANAGEMENT OF THE AGRICULTURAL WATER <br /> HYDRANT IN NORTH KOHALA. <br /> WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose mission is to increase the number of successful community projects that <br /> benefit North Kohala through education,training, and bridges to funding, and has currently <br /> supported over 75 community projects; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center has recently collaborated <br /> with the Hoea Pipeline Water Association, Upolu Ag Water Mitigation, and the County of <br /> Hawaii Department of Research and Development on providing agricultural water access at a <br /> county hydrant in North Kohala; and <br /> WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is requesting funds to cover <br /> expenses relating to the plumbing installation and management of the agricultural water hydrant <br /> in North Kohala; and <br /> WHEREAS, this project falls within the Department of Research and Development's <br /> mission to support community programs that balance economic, social, and community priorities <br /> in Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Research and Development to provide a grant to the North Kohala Community Resource Center <br /> for expenses relating to the plumbing installation and management of the agricultural water <br /> hydrant in North Kohala. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
