The application was approved in 2006 to allow the rezoning and <br /> subsequent subdivision of a 21-acre Agricultural-zoned lot into 7 Family Agricultural-zoned lots. <br /> The Petitioner requests to amend the subject ordinance to allow an additional 5-year time <br /> extension under Condition D, and Conditions E and F related to easements for a forest reserve. <br /> The amended request also includes the proposed removal of Condition J related to traffic <br /> improvement, which states that: <br /> "Building permit for a residence will not be issued until improvements to the intersection at <br /> Mamalahoa Highway and Kaloko Drive are completed,provided that if the improvements are <br /> not completed within 24 months of the date of adoption of this ordinance, the Applicant shall be <br /> allowed to proceed with the building permit. The improvements may include the following: <br /> 1)illuminate intersection at night; 2) installation of traffic signalization devices; 3) channelize <br /> turning movements at the intersection; and4)provide other safety improvements, including <br /> appropriate line of sight distance requirements, as may be required by the State Department of <br /> Transportation." <br />
