REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: May 31, 2022 Re: Comm.No. 797/Res.No. 412-22 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 1:09 P.M. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 412-22,reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 412-22,transmitted by the Honorable Mayor Mitchell D. Roth via Communication No. 797 <br /> dated April 29, 2022, commits to funding the cost items agreed upon by the employers and the Hawaii <br /> Government Employees Association Unit 02 for the contract period July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2025. <br /> The estimated costs over the four years of the new contract resulting from across-the-board increases and <br /> one-time lump sum payments would be $1,567,354. <br /> Per Committee Member Heather L. Kimball's request, Human Resources Director Waylen L.K. Leopoldino <br /> provided a brief summary of the funding.
