COUNTY OF HAWAII -• �'' !I•- STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 451 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NOMINATION OF MEMBERS TO THE <br /> NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THE <br /> WESTERN INTERSTATE REGION BOARD OF DIRECTORS. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawai`i County is a member of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties <br /> (HSAC),the National Association of Counties (NACo), and the Western Interstate Region <br /> (WIR); and <br /> WHEREAS, the HSAC Executive Committee, on June 16, 2022, approved nominees for <br /> the NACo Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors for the respective terms beginning <br /> July 1, 2022; and <br /> WHEREAS, HSAC Bylaws state that Council approval is required to approve the <br /> nomination of representatives to the NACo Board of Directors and the WIR Board of Directors; <br /> now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Tommy Waters and KipuKai Kuali`i are approved to serve on the NACo Board of Directors for <br /> the term beginning July 1, 2022. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Susan Lee Loy and Shane Sinenci are approved to <br /> serve on the WIR Board of Directors for the term beginning July 1, 2022. <br />
