BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED <br /> The Hawaii Department of Health aquired Qui el QuickVue COVID-19 test kits from the Federal Government <br /> through the Health Resources &Services Administration COVID-1 9 Testing Supply Program for distribution <br /> in communities free of charge to the end user. The target audience is low income households and rural <br /> communities where testing options may be limited. The Hawaii Department of Health offered test kits from <br /> this acquisition to the County of Hawaii for County employee use- The Civil Defense Agency views these <br /> test kits as a viable means to provide a quick method to test County employees who's job includes <br /> interaction with the public. The idea is to be able to identify cases of CVID-1 9 in the workforce in order to <br /> limit the potential exposure to the Caronavirus of both County employees and residents seeking County <br /> provided services.
