REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON FINANCE <br /> DATE: July 19, 2022 Re: Comm.No. 854/Res.No. 447-22 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:03 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 447-22, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 447-22,transmitted by Council Member Maile David via Communication No. 854 <br /> dated June 28, 2022, awards a Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation <br /> Maintenance Fund stewardship grant to Na Mamo 0 Kawa. <br /> This resolution approves a grant of$123,500 to Na Mamo 0 Kawa, a 501(c)(3)nonprofit <br /> organization,to protect,preserve, and restore the Kawa Bay properties in Ka`u,pursuant to <br /> Section 10-16(h) of the Hawai`i County Charter. <br /> Ms. David provided comments thanking Na Mamo 0 Kawa President P.
