�t l.F COUNTY OF G m>• a� STATE OF P aF,x�gr RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING A E TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KAILUA VILLAGE BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT IST CT INC. F R +IMBURSEMENT CIF EXPENSES FOR ITS 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS DISPLAY. WHEREAS,the Kailua Village Business Improvement District Inc. (KVBID) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to make historic Kailua Village a model sustainable community and a better place to invest, work, live, and play; and WHEREAS, KVBID, in partnership with the Kailua-Kona Community Parade Association and Fireworks Committee, coordinated this year's 4th of July parade and fireworks display to celebrate America's great day of independence; and WHEREAS, KVBID is requesting funds as a reimbursement for expenses incurred from conducting its 0h of July fireworks display; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports public events that provide safe, enjoyable activities and encourages community camaraderie; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Kailua Village Business Improvement District Inc. for reimbursement of expenses for its 4th of July fireworks display. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
