COUNTY OF HAWAFI STATE OF HAWAF1 <br /> p>•a ua Moa.'e <br /> ww• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 48S 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TE DANIEL R. <br /> SAYRE MEMORIALFOUNDATION T PURCHASE E UIP ENT FOR THE <br /> HAWAIJ FIREDEPARTMENT'S OCEAN SAFETY DIVISION. <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> organization whose mission is to provide fire, emergency, and rescue equipment and supplies to <br /> the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department has identified the need for water safety crafts, <br /> tow boards, and related equipment for its Ocean Safety Division, which will improve <br /> departmental readiness during emergency and hazard responses; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is requesting funds to purchase <br /> two water safety crafts, two tow boards, and related equipment for the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department's Ocean Safety Division; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, <br /> service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Hawaii Fire <br /> Department to provide a grant to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation to purchase <br /> equipment for the Hawaii Fire Department's Ocean Safety Division. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
