I V OF.1 COUNTY OF `I STATE OF HAWAVI �tF OF'M}Yi RESOLUTION NO. 491 02112 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CDONATION UP TO EIGHT ) BUSES FROM THE CITY AND COUNTY OF HONOLULU DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION SERVICES WHEREAS, the City and County of Honolulu Department of Transportation Services is donating up to eight (8) 2000 and 2002 40-foot Gillig Phantom buses to the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency; and WHEREAS, these buses will be used to provide island-wide public transportation within the County of Hawaii; and WHEREAS, the estimated value of this donation is $1,000 each; and WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i's Mass Transit Agency recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`l that in accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation.
