REPORT OF THE COMMITTEE ON REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE,WATER, ENERGY, AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT DATE: August 2, 2022 Re: Comm. No. 884 • PLACE: Council Chambers Hilo, Hawai`i TIME: 1:30 p.m. Council Chair and Members Hawai`i County Council Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 Your Committee on Regenerative Agriculture, Water, Energy, and Environmental Management, to which was referred Communication No. 884, reports as follows: Communication No. 884,transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, dated July 13, 2022, submits for the Council's review and confirmation the nomination of Robert Duerr of Council District 1 to the Game Management Advisory Commission. Executive Assistant Pomaika`i Bartolome was present in Council Chambers and informed Your Committee that Mr. Duerr was not able to attend today's meeting, and stated that he would be present at the August 17, 2022, Council meeting. Several Council members spoke in favor of the nominee's confirmation, and Vice Chair Inaba requested that the nominee be present at confirmation in two weeks. Pursuant to Sections 6-9.3 and 13-4 of the Hawai`i County Charter, members of the Game Management Advisory Commission shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Council.
