S�gY.0F ky. <br /> COUNTY OF H WAIII �' STATE OF I AWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 533 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRINGIAPPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAWAIIAN <br /> PARADISE PARK NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT <br /> AND HOLIDAY EVENTS. <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br /> entity that promotes community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie with the goal of <br /> creating safer and more resilient neighborhoods; and <br /> WHEREAS, each year, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch hosts several <br /> holiday events such as the Halloween in Paradise Drive-Thru and Mele Kalikimaka Drive-Thru <br /> for neighbors and residents to come together safely and celebrate their sense of place; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch is requesting funds to <br /> purchase food, goody bags, gift cards, and entertainment for their community engagement and <br /> holiday events; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Department of Liquor Control is to support alcohol- <br /> free and drug-free community events; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to Hawaiian Paradise Park Neighborhood Watch to assist with <br /> its community engagement and holiday events. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
