I <br /> J�Z-4 or N,?y <br /> \1Jdh: <br /> COUNTY OF I IAWAPI STATE OF HAWAPI <br /> 'tA' wa mo• p <br /> yT�UF•H►•dl <br /> SOLUTION N <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE ZONTA CLUB OF <br /> HILO FOUNDATION TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS <br /> "MAGNIFICENT E" CONFERENCE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> that supports the Zonta Club of Hilo and its mission to empower women and girls through public <br /> service and advocacy; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation is hosting its "Magnificent Me" <br /> conference at the University of Hawaii at Hilo on Friday, September 30, 2022, a free event <br /> which will introduce 100 middle school girls from various Hawaii Island public schools to <br /> confidence building workshops and strategies presented by prominent professional women <br /> serving as mentors; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation is requesting funds to assist with <br /> expenses such as transportation, workshop packets, and miscellaneous supplies and materials <br /> related to the "Magnificent Me" conference; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations and programs that <br /> promote growth and learning in a drug-free and alcohol-free environment; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 5 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Zonta Club of Hilo Foundation to assist with expenses <br /> relating to its "Magnificent Me"conference. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
