COUNTY OF HAWAII :t STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ef)••�:Jew M?:'•'`� <br /> ;TE 4•F•µT,.j <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 584 2 <br /> RESOLUTION TO AMEND RESOLUTION 743-20 AUTHORIZING <br /> THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT TOA ARD FUNDS TO VARIOUS <br /> NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS THROUGH THE K71LAUEA <br /> RECOVERY GRANT PROGRAM <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution 743-20, adopted on October 7, 2020, in accordance <br /> with Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> authorized the Planning Department to provide grants totaling $3,624,374 to <br /> various nonprofit organizations to provide disaster relief, recovery, mitigation or <br /> remediation assistance for physical damages or losses suffered by the 2018 <br /> Kilauea eruption; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Department specified qualified nonprofit <br /> organizations, projects, descriptions and grant awards in Resolution 743-20, <br /> "Exhibit A"; and <br /> WHEREAS, the fiscal sponsor for Vacationland Hawaii Community <br /> Association has changed from Hawaii Rise Foundation to Men of Pa`a; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Department requests that "Exhibit A" be replaced <br /> with "Exhibit A as Amended"; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, <br /> that Resolution 743-20 is hereby amended to include "Exhibit A as Amended". <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in accordance with Chapter 2, Article 25, <br /> Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, the Planning Department is <br /> authorized to provide grants totaling $3,624,374 to various nonprofit organizations <br /> as specified in "Exhibit A as Amended". <br />
