The pumping unit is housed in a 20" well casing- which is approximately 1,754 feet deep. The pump bowl dian tea is 11-1+'8"and the pump is approximately 17 feet long. The motor is a 4-Pole- ?00 hoisepoweT. 4.160- volt submersible motor. The motor diameter is 11--and it is approximately 17 feet long. Prior History Designed and built in June 2006, 'Vai'aha Deepuell has undergone repair one (1) time prior to this ciurent repair. Cm-rent Repair Status Wafaha Deep vll is currently imdergoing repair-. Contractor for this repair is Derrick's DAlhng and Pump Services, LLC'- Repairs include the replacement of the existing deepwell submersible pump and motor,power cable, column pipe, column couplings, and all appiulenant materials, such as cable guards and strapping; appurtenant electrical work; and chlorination and testing of the well and pumping assembly. Pump and motor were installed as of July 26, 2017. Upon startup on July 27. 2017 the motor tapped on over ciurent condition. Trouble hooting indicated a problem"down-hole-so the contractor proceeded u-ith extracting all cf the cohum pipes-pump and motor- On July 29, 201;. during extraction of the pump and motor- there was a failure in the lifting cable resulting in the pump, motor, most of the colimm pipe, and the power cable falling into the well. The contractor is wcd ing to remove the pump and motor from the well. Ifremoial is successful, the well will need to be inspected for any damages. The pump,motor- colim m pipe,and power cable will need to be replaced to prevent an uulmou-n laTallzzened component canning a failure in the fimwre. At this time:the schedule for this well repair is unlalown.
