Y of"a;�r'�"`.; COUNTY OF HAWAII - i' k' /_• STATE OF HAWAII . �Tt ------------- -- RESOLUTION P•NP�JI RESOLUTION NO. 603 22 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO GOING HOME HAWAII FOR ITS COMMUNITY-BASED REENTRY AND RECOVERY HOUSING PROGRAM IN KONA. WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization whose goal is to reintegrate former justice offenders into the community and lower the recidivism rate in Hawai'i; and WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i's community-based Reentry and Recovery Housing Program that assists justice involved men, women, and youth with reintegration into community life through employment, housing, education, and appropriate services; and WHEREAS, Going Home Hawai`i is requesting funds to help offset operational costs associated with its community-based Reentry and Recovery Housing Program in Kona; and WHEREAS, one of the goals of the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is to improve the criminal justice system by identifying areas of need and working collaboratively with other criminal justice agencies and the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Going Home Hawai`i for its community-based Reentry and Recovery Housing Program in Kona. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
