'ATE GF•H�.is_. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 605 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF NALOXONE KITS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS,the Hawai`i Health& Harm Reduction Center is donating two hundred <br /> • <br /> (200)Naloxone kits to the County of Hawai`i Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, these Naloxone kits, valued at approximately $15,000, will be utilized <br /> by Fire Department staff for emergency treatment of opioid overdose; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this donation; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, the County of <br /> Hawai`i, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Heather Lusk, MSW, Executive Director, Hawai`i Health&Harm <br />
