(4) Administration and enforcement authority. Section 1.6 is amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "1.6 Administration and Enforcement Authority. This Code shall be <br /> administered and enforced by the AHJ." [2018 HSFC: 9] <br /> (5) Section 1.7.12.1.1 is added to read as follows: <br /> "1.7.12.1.1 Pursuant to HRS 132-9, plans or specifications, or both, shall be <br /> submitted to the fire chief, when required by chapter 5, the construction <br /> administrative code, to show compliance with this code for the following: <br /> (1) Construction, alteration, rehabilitation, or addition to any building, <br /> structure, or facility; <br /> (2) Changes in the use of a building or structure, or a change in occupancy; and <br /> (3) Installation or alteration of any procedures, equipment, property, or <br /> structure for any life safety or fire protection systems. <br /> No work shall commence without the necessary permits issued by the AHJ." <br /> (6) Section 1.7.12.1.2. is added to read as follows: <br /> "1.7.12.1.2 When plans or specifications are required to be submitted to the A-HJ <br /> under section 1.7.12.1.1 of this code, a plan review fee shall be paid at the time of <br /> submitting plans and specifications for review. <br /> (1) The plan review fee shall be in the amount of fifteen percent of the permit <br /> fee and shall accompany the application, plans, and specifications that are <br /> filed for review pursuant to section 1.7.12.1.1. Plan review fees shall be <br /> assessed in addition to the permit fee. <br /> (2) No additional plan review fee will be assessed for a corrected submittal." <br /> (7) Section 1.7.17.4 is added to read as follows: <br /> "1.7.17.4 Standby and fire watch personnel shall keep documentation on an <br /> hourly basis or as often as deemed necessary by the fire chief. Documentation <br /> shall be available for review upon request by the fire chief." <br /> 3 <br />
