STATE OF HAWA.I`I <br /> R <br /> ArE OP•NP•f <br /> SOLUTION N . 613 22 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO GOING HOME <br /> HAWAII FOR ITS COMMUNITY-BASED REENTRY AND RECOVERY HOUSING <br /> PROGRAM IN EAST HAWAII. <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was created <br /> to assist justice-involved men, women, and youth with reintegration into community life through <br /> employment, education, housing, and appropriate services; and <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawaii offers a portfolio of critical reentry services in its <br /> Reentry and Recovery Housing Program as lack of housing poses a major complication for <br /> successful reentry; and <br /> WHEREAS, Going Home Hawaii is seeking funds to help pay for expenses associated <br /> with its community-based Reentry and Recovery Housing Program, such as security cameras and <br /> associated equipment and supplies; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports improving the criminal <br /> justice system by identifying areas of need and working collaboratively with other criminal <br /> justice agencies and the community; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawaii County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to Going Home Hawaii for its community-based <br /> Reentry and Recovery Housing Program in East Hawaii. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
