No. 605-22 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:31 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance,to which was referred Resolution No. 605-22, reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 605-22,transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako via Communication No. 1094 <br /> dated October 26, 2022, authorizes the acceptance of a donation of Naloxone kits to the County of <br /> Hawaii Fire Department. <br /> This resolution accepts the donation of 200 Naloxone kits from Hawaii Health&Harm Reduction <br /> Center with an estimated value of$15,000 would be used by the Fire Department for emergency <br /> treatment of opioid overdose. <br /> Fire Batallion Chief Chris Honda of the Emergency Medical Services Branch gave a brief overview of <br /> the donation. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder and Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz both gave <br /> comments in support of this measure. <br /> Pursuant to Section 13-12,Hawaii County Charter,the Council may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate.
