COUNTY OF C e* STATEC <br /> 1 <br /> dfi�M�ir�` <br /> ,r'f AGF NAJi <br /> I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> i <br /> I <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII DEPARTMENT OF RESEARCH <br /> DEVELOPMENT <br /> '3 <br /> I <br /> 'I <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research& Development desires to lease approximately 4,686 <br /> square feet of office space situated at 88 Kanoelehua Avenue, Suite A-204, in Hilo, County and State <br /> of Hawaii, from WKSP Limited Partnership c/o Day-Lum Rentals and Management, Inc. <br /> ("Landlord")to be utilized as the American Job Center Hawaii One-Stop-Shap office; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research& Development desires to enter into a multi-year <br /> lease agreement that is anticipated to commence on or about February 1, 2023, for four(4) years and <br /> eleven (11) months, with the option to extend the lease for three (3) additional five (5)year terms with <br /> Landlord; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research& Development is requesting authorization for the <br /> Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement with Landlord for office space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that pursuant <br /> to section 10-11 of the Hawaii County Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a (4) year <br /> and eleven (11)month lease agreement with three (3) options for extension for the Department of <br /> Research& Development as indicated above. <br />
