No. 26-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawaii <br /> TIME: 2:40 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawaii County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions, to which was referred Resolution No. 26-23, <br /> reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 26-23, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 27 <br /> dated December 2, 2022, authorizes the Department of Research and Development to award funds to <br /> La`i`Opua 2020. <br /> This resolution would provide grant funds of$100,000, to support the Ho`okahua Food Preservation <br /> Project that will teach food preservation techniques, encourage the community to buy local producs, and <br /> support a food program for qualified students in West Hawaii. <br /> Council Member Michelle Galimba assumed the chair from Chair Holeka Goro Inaba.
