(2) The piping shall be filled with twenty-five psi of air and held for <br /> fifteen minutes. No drop in pressure is allowed. <br /> (3) An air test need not be conducted when the piping is above ground and less <br /> than five feet in length. <br /> (4) Automatic fire sprinkler system without a fire department connection does <br /> not require an air test." <br /> [2018 HSFC: 57] <br /> "13.3.3.2.3 Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance Label. It shall be <br /> unlawful to inspect, test, or maintain any automatic fire sprinkler system <br /> without providing an approved label signifying successful testing of the system. <br /> (1) An approved inspection, testing, and maintenance label affixed to the fire <br /> department connection and the sprinkler riser. Automatic fire sprinkler <br /> systems that do not have a fire department connection shall have the label <br /> affixed to the riser. <br /> (2) The label shall indicate the type of system, month and year the system was <br /> tested; certificate of fitness holder's name and number; and company's <br /> name, address and contact information. <br /> (3) The label shall be clearly visible and punched with no more than one year <br /> and one month." <br /> [2018 HSFC: 57] <br /> "13.3.3.2.4 The fire department shall be verbally notified immediately of any <br /> system determined to be out of service. Systems that cannot be utilized for <br /> firefighting operations shall have an inoperable system sign affixed to the fire <br /> department connection. The sign shall remain in place until all repairs have <br /> system made and a satisfactory inspection, test, and maintenance test is <br /> completed." An inspection, <br /> testing, and maintenance report entitled"Automatic Sprinkler Systems" <br /> available on the State Fire Council's website and at each county fire <br /> department's fire prevention branch or a similar report approved by the AHJ, <br /> shall be provided to the property owner or agent within fourteen days after the <br /> test."
