(82) Required access. Section 18.2.3.1.3 is amended to read as follows: "18.2.3.1.3 The provisions of 18.2.3.1 through 18.2.3.2.2.1 shall be permitted to be modified by the AHJ where any of the following conditions exists: (1) Not more than two one- and two-family dwellings protected by an approved automatic sprinkler system in accordance with Section 13.1; (2) Not more than two existing one- and two-family dwellings; (3) Private garages having an area not exceeding 1000 ft2; (4) Carports having an area not exceeding 1000 ft2; (5) Agricultural buildings having an area not exceeding 1000 ft2; and (6) Sheds and other detached buildings having an area not exceeding 1000 ft2." Section 18.2.3.5.1.1 is amended to read as follows: "18.2.3.5.1.1 Fire department access roads shall have an unobstructed width of not less than twenty feet (6.1 meters) or as approved by the AHJ." [2018 HSFC: 84] (84) Fire department access road vertical clearance. Section 18.2.3.5.1.2 is amended to read as follows: "18.2.3.5.1.2 Fire department access roads shall have an unobstructed vertical clearance of not less than thirteen feet six inches (4.1 meters) or as approved by the AHJ." [2018 HSFC: 85] (85) Fire department access roads (FDAR)-turning radius. Section 18.2.3.5.3.1 is amended to read as follows: "18.2.3.5.3.1 Fire department access roads shall have a minimum inside turning II radius of thirty feet, and a minimum outside turning radius of fifty feet." (86) Fire department access roads bridges or culverts. Section 18.2.3.5.5.1 is amended to read as follows: "18.2.3.5.5.1 When a bridge or culvert is required to be used as part of a fire apparatus access road, it shall be constructed and maintained in accordance with county requirements."
