JNSY•OF N'gfy <br /> Hawaii County Clerk 02/14/2023 02:38:49 PM <br /> qrE OF NPS <br /> HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CONTINUATION <br /> Date: February 24, 2023 <br /> Time: 6:00 p.m. <br /> Place: Hilo Council Chambers, Hawaii County Building, 25 Aupuni St., Hilo, <br /> Hawaii 96720 <br /> The public hearing convened on February 7, 2023, regarding the proposed establishment of <br /> the County of Hawaii Downtown Hilo Business Improvement District No. 2 via <br /> Bill No. 230, Draft 2, was put into recess and is scheduled to resume at 6:00 p.m. on <br /> February 24, 2023. <br /> The timeframe for the owners of real property who would be assessed under the proposed <br /> Business Improvement District to file a Declaration of Protest or to withdraw a Declaration <br /> of Protest has been extended via this continuation of the public hearing. Declarations of <br /> Protest and withdrawals of Declarations of Protests will not be accepted after the <br /> conclusion of this public hearing. <br /> Any Declaration of Protest or withdrawal of a Declaration of Protest submitted via USPS <br /> will be accepted if it is postmarked no later than the date on which the public hearing is <br /> concluded. <br /> Valid Declarations of Protest that have previously been filed with the Office of the County <br /> Clerk remain in effect; no further action is required to formally protest these proceedings. <br /> Contact <br /> Please call (808) 961-8532 or email Nicole.Bello@hawaiicounty.gov for access to: Declaration <br /> of Protest and Withdrawal of Declaration of Protest forms; the original Notice of Public <br /> Hearing; Bill No. 230, Draft 2; and/or for any other inquiries regarding this public hearing <br /> or the protest procedures. <br /> Participation <br /> All interested persons are invited to attend and will be afforded the opportunity to be <br /> heard.
