1 <br /> i <br /> I <br /> �NerfoF Nth. <br /> COUNTY OF C �•; n •* STATE OF G <br /> I <br /> �rF cs•H�� <br /> i <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 81 23 <br /> i <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER <br /> FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR A MULTI- <br /> YEAR LEASE OF REAL PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAVI <br /> POLICE DEPARTMENT WAREHOUSE IN KEA'AU, DISTRICT OF PUNA. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii Police Department ("HPD") requires expanded warehouse <br /> capabilities and desires to lease approximately 7,440 square feet of a warehouse situated in Kea`au, <br /> County and State of Hawaii, from Milo Storage LLC ("Landlord"); and <br /> WHEREAS, HPD desires to enter into a multi-year lease agreement which is anticipated to <br /> commence on July 1, 2023, for a five-year term, with the option to renew the lease for two (2) <br /> additional five (5)year terms with Landlord; and <br /> WHEREAS, HPD is requesting authorization for the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease <br /> agreement with Landlord for this warehouse space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Honorable Mitchell Roth, Mayor of the County of Hawaii, is hereby authorized to enter into a multi- <br /> year lease with Milo Storage LLC, for a five-year term with options as indicated above. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to <br /> cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the amended Lease. <br />
