REQUEST: <br /> Resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into a multi-year lease agreement for one F750 sized Super Duty <br /> 4x4 Truck with Utility Cabinets including Auto Crane for the Department of Environmental Management, <br /> Solid Waste Division. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The Solid Waste Division (SWD) is requesting to lease finance one (1) Utility Truck with Auto Crane to assist <br /> and support the Division's operations and maintenance activities in West Hawaii. The West Hawaii mechanic <br /> truck, CH 1717 is a 1991 Chevy 2500 truck that has 67,282 miles and is not capable of providing the level of <br /> service needed for this position. <br /> This truck is a necessary piece of equipment for the Construction Equipment Mechanic to be able to do <br /> repairs and maintainance on our heavy equipment. <br /> The Purchase price is estimated at $375,000 for the truck. The estimated lease payment is $7,000 per <br /> month.
