REQUEST: <br /> Requesting a Resolution for the acceptance of a donation of 5 bottles of BioAstin per Ocean Safety <br /> employee from Cyanotech <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> • <br /> Due to the physical nature of the job of a Water Safety Officers, and the importance of staying. <br /> physically fit and healthy, in an effort to help to support that need, Cyanotech (makers of BioAstin) <br /> has graciously offered to donate a years worth supply of BioAstin to each Water Safety Officer.. <br /> They agreed to donate five (5) bottles of 75 count BioAstin 12MG vegan formula bottles per working <br /> ocean lifeguard, or a total of approximately three hundred and ten (310) bottles. The estimated <br /> retail value is $15,620.90. The estimated retail value may increase or decrease over time. <br /> Cyanotech will also donate one (hat) per working ocean lifeguard, or approximately sixty-two (62) <br /> hats. The hats will have the Hawaii Fire Department Ocean Safety Logo on it and will be authorized <br /> to be used as their duty uniform which will help to decrease sun exposure to their heads and faces. <br /> The estimated retail value for the hats are $496.00.
