181 MMNHWG REPORT <br /> PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> This report should be contextualized as a stepping stone to continuing this work. It will take many <br /> more years of targeted efforts in research, policy, and practice to gain the data necessary to under- <br /> stand the full scope of violence against NHWG and implement recommendations that can prevent this <br /> violence from continuing. <br /> UNIVERSAL, SYSTEMIZED DATA COLLECTION <br /> Although the lack of data about MMNHWG is evi- Data collection is specifically hindered by: <br /> dent, the data that is available, and the experienc- 1.
