The following is a summary of the work being <br /> conducted by the Executive Director. <br /> 1. NACo achievements-deadline March 3, 2023. <br /> 2. Treasury update: Moving forward with the accountant on the annual tax filing. See <br /> attachments for a copy of the disengagement letter from the accountant. <br /> 3. NACo "This Week in Photos."Encourage participation in the NACo photos. <br /> 4. Legislative Update: Please review the draft testimonies provided by Jon Okudara. <br /> 5. General Administrative Duties:Scheduling with the US Department of Homeland <br /> Security to invite one of their speakers to present at our March meeting. Professional <br /> Development Academy will also present to the HSAC EC later this year. Continuing to <br /> work on the HSAC association management guidebook. <br /> Preparing guidelines for the duties and responsibilities of each HSAC officer in <br /> anticipation of the handover meetings once the slate has been finalized in January. <br /> 6. Bylaws: When the new Secretary comes on board we will need to review the bylaws and <br /> propose some amendments. <br /> 7. NACo Legislative Conference in February 2023. Please let the HSAC ED know if you or <br /> any of your colleagues plan to attend the conference as well as any plus ones. We will be <br />
