REQUEST: <br /> Multi-year resolution: A ten (10) year contract tentatively valued at$1,988.16 per year, for a total of <br /> $19,881.60 to support NO 's Weather Radio communication network. This allows NOAA the capability to <br /> transmit weather information on the weather band. Tower is located at the County of Hawaii Radio Repeater <br /> site located at South Point WWD759. <br /> *Request to waive committee and expedite the process given unexpected delays obo the COH and the need for <br /> NOAA to be able to proceed quickly. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL_ SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> Contract seeks to provide NOAA the continued use of the site to maintain their equipment to transmit <br /> weather information. In exchange, NOAA reimburses Civil Defense a portiion of the operating cost to run the <br /> microwave network. <br /> County of Hawaii currently supports NOAA's equipment on the Naalehu Pasture Tower which allows them <br /> the capability to transmit weather information. <br /> In addition, NOAA did utilize the South Point location up to 6-30-22, but the contract expired and no current <br /> contract was put into place. <br /> SIGNED: f <br /> DATE: <br /> Department Head',, <br /> x, <br />
