No. 210-23 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 10:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Resolution No. 210-23,reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 210-23,transmitted by Committee Member Ashley L. Kierkiewicz, via <br /> Communication No. 378 dated July 14, 2023,transfers/appropriates an appropriation out and from <br /> a designated fund account and credits same to a designated fund account in the Geothermal Relocation <br /> and Community Benefits Fund to hire security for Isaac Kepo`okalani Hale Beach Park. <br /> This resolution transfers $400,000 from the Geothermal Other Current Expenses account; and <br /> credits the Geothermal Parks and Recreation Other Current Expenses account to allow for the <br /> continuation of around-the-clock security services. <br /> Ms. Kierkiewicz provided a detailed overview on this measure. <br /> Committee Chair Matt Kaneali`i-Kleinfelder, referring to past procedures, asked Finance Director <br /> Deanna Sako if this resolution needed an accompanying bill to transfer and appropriate these funds. <br /> Ms. Sako replied, stating there was no need for an accompanying bill because these funds have <br /> existing accounts.
