Kimball, Chairperson <br />and Members of the Hawaii County Council <br />FROM: Dr. Holeka Goro Inaba, Council Member <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 61; an Ordinance Amending Section 25-8-19 <br />(North Hilo Zone Map), Article 8, Chapter 25 (Zoning) of the Hawaii County <br />Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended) by Changing the District Classification <br />from Agricultural — Twenty Acres (A -20a) to Agricultural — Five Acres (A -5a) at <br />`O'bkala, North Hilo, Hawaii, Covered by Tax Map Key: 3-9-001:024. <br />Please see below a proposed amendment to Bill No. 61. The proposed amendment is illustrated <br />in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 61; material to be deleted is <br />bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. <br />SECTION 2 of Bill No. 61 is amended by amending Condition M and adding a Condition N to <br />read as follows: <br />"M. Final Subdivision Approval for the proposed subdivision shall be secured within <br />five (5) years from the effective date of this ordinance. <br />[MIN. Should any of the conditions not be met or substantially complied with in a <br />timely fashion, the Planning Director [may] shall initiate rezoning of the property <br />to its original or more appropriate designation.
