OF <br /> • <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 242 23 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF <br /> PICKLEBALL SUPPLIES TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I DEPARTMENT OF <br /> PARKS AND RECREATION. <br /> WHEREAS, David Molenaar, a Laupahoehoe community member, is donating <br /> pickleball supplies to the County of Hawai`i Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS, these supplies, consisting of two (2) pickleball nets with wheels, and two <br /> (2) custom-made net covers, valued at $1,925.69, will be used by the community at the <br /> Papa`aloa Park; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,the County of <br /> Hawai`i, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to David Molenaar, P.O. Box 261, Laupahoehoe, HI 96764, acknowledging <br /> this generous donation. <br />
