REQUEST: <br /> Aprproval to enter into a multi-year, intergovernment agenciy agreement. The Memorandum of Agreement <br /> would be between the State of Hawaii - Department of Business Economic Development and Tourism <br /> (DBEDT)- Hawai'i Broadband Digital Equity Office (HBDEO) and the County of Hawai'i. The purpose of the <br /> agreement is to have the County administer the delivery of certain activities that will result in qualified <br /> households on Hawai'i island receiving financial assistance for internet subcription fees. The expenses <br /> incurred by the County will be reimburse by HBDEO. The Federal fund source is the National <br /> Telecommunications and Information Administration -Affordable Connectitivty Program (ACP) Oureach <br /> program. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The purpose of this agreement is to provide funds to the County of Hawaii-Department of Research and <br /> Development for the ACP Grant Outreach Program - Hawaii as approved by the FCC in the Notice of Award <br /> and Grant Application. DBEDT- HBDEO is the Recipient and Pass-through Entity of the federal grant award <br /> under the Affordable Connectivity Outreach Grant Program (ACOGP) and makes a subaward of Federal <br /> award funds to the County of Hawaii-Research and Development pursuant to this Agreement.
