�JN`Y of p,..'... <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :•i - !� •- STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> ,rE OF.NF'� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 280 23 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION <br /> OF THREE (3) PIERCE FIRE ENGINES FROM THE HONOLULU FIRE <br /> DEPARTMENT <br /> WHEREAS, the Honolulu Fire Department is donating one (1) 1997 Pierce <br /> Fire engine and two (2) 1999 Pierce Fire engines, with a total estimated value of <br /> $135,000, to the Hawaii Fire Department; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized in the Hawaii Fire Department's <br /> reserve fleet of engines; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations of <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real <br /> estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County Code <br /> states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property which fall <br /> within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may be accepted <br /> by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawaii Fire Department recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, and <br /> Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the Council of <br /> the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
