J+S1 OF N,�1 <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII • STATE OF HAWAII <br />qTf OF•N'.! <br />RESOLUTION NO. 299 23 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH <br />PURCHASING A CERTIFIED AGRICULTURAL SCALE FOR ITS HILO STATION. <br />WHEREAS, agricultural theft continues to be a major concern for Hawaii Island's <br />agricultural industry and its livelihood; and <br />WHEREAS, placing certified agricultural scales at select police stations will assist the <br />Police Department and the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney with obtaining additional evidence <br />to support the prosecution of agricultural theft; and <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to purchase a certified agricultural <br />scale for its Hilo station; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br />to purchase a certified agricultural scale for its Hilo station. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,500 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010.201.5203.20 Police Department <br />Police Adm Div -Equip <br />480 Mise Equipment <br />(Certified Agricultural Scale — Hilo Station) <br />$1,500 <br />$1,500 <br />
