Sako, via Communication No. 482
dated September 15, 2023, authorizes the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the State of Hawaii
Department of Human Services.
This resolution allows for the receipt of $2,000,000 in federally -derived funds to support the
implementation and on-going operations of a new homeless shelter program.
Finance Director Deanna Sako provided a brief overview of this measure as they waited for Housing
and Community Development Specialist Sharon Hirota to join the meeting.
