BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />Federal funds have been provided by the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation for our Traffic <br />Safety Training Project for FY24. These funds support specialized training for prosecutors, law enforcement <br />officers and other personnel aimed at reducing the lethal effects of alcohol -driving and drugged driving. <br />Trainings provided through this grant equip prosecutors and law enforcement officers with the most current <br />techniques, methods and standards in the investigation and prosecution of alcohol and drug -impaired <br />drivers.
